You're putting too much emphasis on the word "society".  The society is just an association of people who know that religion is based on falsities and are concerned about the negative effects that this has on society.  We don't believe AND WE CARE ABOUT OTHERS WASTING THEIR LIVES AND WARING WITH EACH OTHER OVER GODS THAT AREN'T THERE.
