I don't think that there is an intentional effort to use religion as a tool to retain power and control the masses, but rather an intention of keeping the masses stupid and poor.  Religion is just fed in this manner. 

My t-shirt place is no longer in business and I haven't found a new one yet (and I am out of stock), but do let me know what size you need.

I am a long time critic of organized religion and share many of your views... I am probably most concerened by the fact that religion is used as a tool to retain power and control the masses.
 
I am also constanlty offended when in "non-religious" settings there are constant references to "god" and "the father in heaven" etc. please.
