Listen.  You can have whatever opinions you want.  Personnally, I am a
Christian and I am sorry that you feel the way you do.  Obviously, the
wrong people have pushed your wrong buttons. Ask yourself this?  Have
you ever read the bible.  If you have, then you know that nowhere in it
does Jesus say, "I will return in the year 2000." He only talked of the
signs that would preceed his return.  And if you could wake up and smell
the coffee, you would see that those signs are occurring now.
I will agree with you that religion may have become annoying and much
too pushy throughout history.  No one likes to be pushed into rituals
and told what to believe in.  People have been taking the wrong
approach. The key thing to remember is that Christianity is not a
"religion."  I can't stand the word religion in itself.  It represents
all the wrong things - like meaningless rituals and statues.  Some of
the Christian "divisions" are even haywire.  (Once you leave a Jahova
Witness community, they shun you forever).  That is not the love that
Jesus represents.  What you have to tell yourself is that Christianity
is not a religion, it is a faith.  It is believing that there is a God,
that he created you through your parents, that you are a sinner, that
God sent Jesus here to die on the cross for your sins, and that you must
believe in him and recieve Jesus into your heart and into your life in
order to go to heaven when you die.
If you know nothing, know this, Jesus does love, nomatter how you talk
against him and you don't have to be perfect to receive him.  You don't
get clean to take a bath, you take a bath to get clean.  God does want
to have a personal relationship with you.  But you can only have this
relationship through Jesus.  So I hope you recieve Christ into your life
because he loves you and he will clean you naturally.
By the way, stick this page somewhere else.  Some of us have important
universtiy research to do instead of listening to your bellyaching.
