Subject: Your ignorance must be very comforting to you

Hello,

I am an 18 year-old male Canadian who recently visited your site
proclaiming your atheistic ways.  I couldn't help but notice the complete
lack of any data, facts, or research of any kind that would lend your
"argument" a sense of validity.
Let me begin by dismantling your opening paragraph:  How can you say Jesus
is a "No-Show"?  At what time were you expecting him that he is now late?
If you have ever read any of the Bible, you'd be aware of the fact that
Jesus did not know the time of his return, only the Father.  I'm wondering
where and how you have obtained this data?  Furthermore, your logic lacks a
basis:  from your reasoning, you assume that since Jesus has not returned
in the alst two-thousand years, then he will therefore never return?  This
ties back into the fact that you do not know when He will return and that
you are really just propagating a lie.
Next, why do you say religion is for the weak-minded?  Historically, some
of the strongest-minded figures have been religious.  Look at Gahandi; Pope
Leo X; Da Vinci, to name just a few.  Are you saying that being able to
accept the existence of a higher-power makes one some how less intelligent?
Arrogance blinds those who seek truth.
What makes the unsubstantiated claims you are spreading any more "true"
than those you believe are spread by organized religion?  All you do is
make statements like, "religious teaching is no longer acceptable" - what
does that mean?  How can you say religious teaching is no longer current or
useable?  What does religion teach?  Love.  Faith.  That people are bound
together in ways one cannot imagine.  How are these not acceptable, or
current, or useable?
Why do you want people to complain about the presence of Holy books in
courts?  Do you know what a court is?  DO you know that all laws on earth
stem from religion, and that in the Western realm of civilization, the most
prevalent two are Judaism and Christianity?  (commonly and rightfully
grouped as Judao-Christianity)  To detach the moral basis and significance
from the criminal code would be foolhardy.
All and all sir, I really do not see any sense of validity in your work.
In fact, it appears that you are no more in tune with reality than the bums
on the streets talking nonsense and begging for change to buy turpentine
with.  I feel very sorry for you, and I hope that God will feel the same
way when it comes time to deal with your damned soul.
