wow,
you are truly an atheist. i couldn't possibly even ever hope to argue with
you against your views but i know a read a really good book that answers a lot
of your skepticism. i would be doing the book injustice if i were to take
bits and pieces of it to argue against you with some of its points so i
recommend that you read it yourself. it is called More than a Carpenter
and its by josh mcdowell (spelling may be wrong). well i`ll pray for you
bud and its so sad to read what you think because i think my friend that you
have missed the whole idea of christianity and Christ. the point is (and
i`m sure that you`ve heard this one a million times) is that God created us to
be holy just like He is, but we fuçked up and the only thing that could bring us
back to the Father was to obey the law and all of its components. but this
of course is imposible because we already are born with the sin nature.
that's why Jesus, the Son of God, came. He lived the perfect life, obeyed
the whole law and then paid our penalty for breaking the law: death. when
He died on the cross and took all of our sins and paid our death penalty (and
rose from the grave), He gave us the chance to accept His gift of salvation just
by believing. i guess you have chosen not to accept His grace and when you
die (we all die by the way) you will be receiving what we all deserve:
separation of God and His presence or hell.
so good luck, and i hope you
figure things out.
