Subject: Evolution

Since you seem to be an expert on the subject, I have a few questions
for you.

1) Will a species of cat be able to evolve into a species of dog?
2) Will a ball, (made of any substance you wish), ever become a cube
after billions of years?
3) Will, someday, the human eye evolve into a body part that relies on
the sense of smell?

Here's a little problem with your evolution theorey. You quoted in 'The
Simplicity of Existence': "For any sub-grouping of stuff particles; as a
result of the equilibrium effort, higher and higher orders of
equilibrium may be attained as time passes. As the stuff particles find
more efficient arrangements, higher levels of order may be attained. It
could be said that these higher orders evolve -- thus we have an
evolutionary process."

If this is the case then wouldn't ALL particles be reaching the same
equilibrium? This is to say, if life is a higher equilibrium, and a more
complex life-form os a higher being, then wouldn't ALL living things be
the same? You would think after billions of years of practice, we could
watch an amoeba evolve into a fish, which grows legs, and stands up, to
finally end up with the most complex brain of any living animal, which
only 10% of it is used. After billions of years, we only use 1/10 of our
brain. And we are the supposed 'higher being'. So where do all of the
other millions of life forms come into play? Are they all just at one
step of the evolutionary process? Are we linked in some way to ALL
living creatures?

On a different note; it's no wonder you're an athiest. The pathetic crap
that people send you to pray for you aren't going to help anything. In
fact, it's enough to drive anybody away from religion. If people
actually had something to work with to try to disprove your theories,
then maybe they'd get somewhere.

Also, do you REALLY want to live in a world wih no religion? Lets face
it, its the thought of eternal damnation that drives most people to be
normal, law-abiding citizens. And since all of the laws of our country
are based on Christian beliefs, it would be interesting to live in a
place where these 'religious' laws don't exist. But, hey, how long can
the anarchy last before everybody is dead?

Just some food for thought. You should swing by Calgary one day and do a
seminar or something. I'd like to meet you in person. I've never met a
true athiest before.

P.S.: Isn't athieism a religion also?
