Mr. Bedford,
I sincerely apologize for the way that these supposed "Christians" have treated you. They are being truly rude, and un-Christ-like. May God forgive them!!!
After looking at more of your site and having discussions as to why people do what you are doing, I can make 2 statements. 1. You are from some sort of religious background, likely Christian. Either you were born into a Christian family, or were a "Christian" at some point. 2. You are leading a lifestyle that according to Christianity is immoral. The bottom line, you obviously have a bone to pick with Christianity in particular, and that's why this site is here.
You may convince many people with this site, but you are not going to convince God. You are fighting God, not Christians, and you'll lose. I have no hard feelings towards you, because of your lifestyle and neither does God. Christianity's message isn't "If you don't believe in Jesus you're going to Hell," it's "Through faith in Jesus, you can go to heaven." It is not scary, strange, or sick. It gives us all hope. None of it's teachings are false. All the laws have good reasons behind them, they are not set up to restrict someone, but to make us free from Satan's power.
You said, "People are filtering into two camps of religious acceptance.  Generally speaking,  Believers blindly
accept the faith of their ancestors, and Thinkers like to doubt everything and learn what underlies every
stone"

I am a thinker,  but I don't stop at learning what underlies every stone, I continue, and find why the stone is there in the first place, and why the ground that the stone is lying on is there. It is truly blind to simply flip over stones to see what's there, without thinking about why it's there. Life isn't based on facts, it is based on reasons. We become like animals if we only focus on facts.

The most important thing is this, God loves you. He doesn't want you to get out of your lifestyle because He'd feel better that way, He wants you out of it for your own good. He is not a selfish God. For crying out loud, He died for you!

I'll be praying that you'll meet other Christians who love, and understand, like Jesus did. And again, I am so sorry for how people have treated you. According to the Bible, they will be judged.

Reply to my last post regarding "Distortion of Christianity" and respond to this one. I'd appreciate. Also, it's alright to post this address <cwbtinc@hotmail.com> for all to see. I want some feedback, but no profanity or nonsense please. In other words don't say anything unless It's something that holds weight. I don't need to be told I'm too monolibric, because that proves nothing to me. Thanks.

thinking,
Chad

Dear Chad Wesley Bryant:

First let me discuss why I do what I'm doing.  I have never been a Believer but I was born and raised in a country that was apparently "founded upon principles that recognize the supremacy" of the god that is referred to in the Holy Bible.  I am healthy and living a moral lifestyle. I have much animosity towards Christianity in particular only because I am more exposed to it as a citizen residing in North America.  I love Christians.  They are as decent as the drug users that I party with at the heavy-metal/hardcore, live music nightclubs that I frequent.  When people ask me why do I even bother trying to convert religious fools to atheism, I tell them about the story of an old man that walked down to the beach on the west coast of Africa one hot day and found a young boy frantically tossing crabs back into the ocean.  Now the old man knew that the beach was littered with the crabs as far as the eye can see and that the phenomenon happens every year.  So he asked the boy "And what do you think you're doing?"  The boy answered "These crabs are dying in this hot sun."  The old man then exclaimed to the boy "Well I hope you don't think that you are going to make a difference.  The beach is full of these crabs for miles and miles and they are all going to die in a couple of hours in this sweltering sun.  The only difference that you will be able to make will be comparable to a drop in an ocean."  The boy then turned to the old man, looked him in the eye, waved a crab in front of his face and said "Try telling that to this one." as he threw it as far as he could back into the sea.

Now in case you don't get it, I will explain it to you.  In this story, I am the boy; the old man represents the people in my life that tell me not to bother with Believers; the crabs are the Believers; the sweltering sun is the life-sucking body of written folklore, hearsay, and speculation of the folklore and hearsay comprising a religion; and the ocean represents freedom and life. And you would be a lucky crab that I may have selected at random if I can get through to you that there is no God to convince or to fight with or to be loved by.

Chad, you and I are animals.  We are not divine beings.  So come party with me and let loose.

Keep thinking Chad.

With sincere love and care for you,

Darwin Bedford
