Wow I will let my sister know about your site, we are
currently
interested in transidentalism which I have not considered as a
religion at all but more of
a reflective philosophy whereby I might refer to as I would a
horoscope or something of
recreational nature. I have many bones to pick with anyone who
follows an organized religion
by the letter. We live amongst a rather large community of
Jehovah's Witnesses and
they have relentlessly tried to persuade us to join their
faith. We know that recruiting is a
big part of their parish so we try not to become
personally offended by their tenacity.
My personal woe for the world is religious fundamentalism. I
see it as a larger
threat than disease. I fear those who use any kind of religion
to excuse or
explain their violent or inhumane acts.
I do speak out in opposition to traditions and attitudes that
do not
continue to prove their worth or validity in today's ever
changing
world and religion is one of them.
